Horror filmmakers have long been inspired by pagan and occult religious groups when making horror movies. In our modern culture, which despite being very secularized, still has a heavy Christian influence, non-Abrahamic religious practices, especially ones that involve magick, remain taboo and spooky to the masses. The unfortunate bit about this is that it has made many people fear these beautiful spiritual traditions. This is especially true, because often horror movies depict these practices in completely inaccurate ways. However, there are a few gems out there that are, at least, somewhat close to reality.
